| The truck, fully loaded for the start of LA->MV. But this came only after
after Steve and I tried, and failed, for half a day to pickup a truck
(apparently, reservation does not imply availability) and then a day of
packing and loading brimming with help from Steve, Brian, and Christina.
(The delayed truck acquisition turned out to be quite helpful, however.
Were it not for the day delay, I would have hit a 405 roadblock put
up because of local fires, which would have put me into Mountain View
too late in the evening to complete the apartment paperwork and thus
move in that night.) |
