Lausanne

After visiting ETH-Zürich I rode the train to Lausanne, located across the lake from Geneva in far west Switzerland, and where the common language is French. I spent the afternoon and most of the evening exploring the old town district (both the social Centre-ville and the older Vieille Ville), and in particular the Lausanne Cathedral. After dinner I briefly walked down to the the lakefront area (Ouchy) along Lake Geneva.
